Garlicon™, an innovative new product addressing animal welfare and nutrition concerns, is a natural formulation based on organosulfur compounds isolated from the Allium genus. Added to animals’ feed or water, Garlicon™ improves their intestinal health, promoting lower veterinary treatment expenses.

This product helps maintain feed consumption during infectious events, protecting intestinal flora from dramatic changes (diarrhea), but without any secondary effects like residues, off flavors, etc. Garlicon™ modulates intestinal flora, maintaining proper populations of Enterococci and Lactobacilli, helping avoid excessive proliferation of pathogens or microorganisms that compete for energy.

Applications

Beef: In ruminants, Garlicon™ aids in reducing the emission of greenhouse gas (CH4) in installations, having a significant anti-methanogenic effect. It also maintains a positive balance of intestinal and rumen microbiota, improving animal health, plus it is an effective fly repellent.

Pork: Effective against pathogens, parasites, molds and viruses. Garlicon™ improves health and growth while modulating inflammatory responses.

Poultry: Reduction of enteropathogenic bacteria in broilers (Campylobacter jejuni and E. Coli) and reduction of Salmonella spp. Garlicon™ also improves resistance against coccidial infections and modulates inflammatory responses.

Fish and Seafood: Effective in improving the quality, texture, color and shelf-life of fish and seafood products.
